I have a problem attaching the avatar prefab for touch controls to the player controller prefab from oculus sdk. Did you import the textures first, before bringing the avatar into unity? These allow to save and load data on any device it is used. Makes it easy to customize player models.

Hello all, just as a note, unity released a new fbx exporter to maya and maya lt the plugin is here for unity 2017.2+.
